Republic Records announced that Danielle Price will join the company as executive vp on Monday (April 18).

“Danielle’s business acumen, creative vision, and extensive legal background are proven ingredients for a brilliant executive,” Republic CEO Monte Lipman said in a statement. “Her fresh perspective and unique talents will be a tremendous addition to our team of extraordinary executives.”

In her own statement, Price praised the heads of Republic for “always put[ting] the artist first,” adding that “everything falls into place from there.”

“That approach is not commonplace these days, but it’s something I wholeheartedly believe in,” Prince continued. “From the moment I met them both, I felt at home with Republic’s foundational principles, as they align with my own personal philosophy. We have a unique opportunity to help artists realize their dreams, and I’m honored to be a part of that.”

Price started her career at work in legal affairs for Warner Music Group. She went on to lead the hip-hop division of LaPolt Law, where her roster of clients included Nicki Minaj, 21 Savage, Megan Thee Stallion, SAINt JHN and Tinashe, among others. Price was part of the team that helped secure 21 Savage’s release from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement custody in 2020.

In March 2020, Price joined 10K Projects as senior vp of business and legal affairs. “Coming from the talent representation side, it was important to me to work with a label that is truly artist-focused,” she said at the time. During her stint at 10K, she worked with Trippie Redd, iann dior, Internet Money, Surfaces and more. She also held the post of interim head of operations.
