James Corden Leaving ‘Late Late Show’ in 2023
James Corden is set to end his tenure as host of The Late Late Show on CBS.
Corden, who has hosted the show since 2015, has signed a one-year contract extension that will take him through the 2022-23 season. He’ll exit the show next year after eight years as host.
Corden was best known in the U.S. as the co-creator of the BBC’s Gavin & Stacey and for his role in the film version of Into the Woods before he took over the 12:35 a.m. show from Craig Ferguson. He introduced signature segments including “Carpool Karaoke,” “Drop the Mic” and “Crosswalk Musical” — the first two of which spawned their own standalone series on Apple and TBS.
More to come.
